Description:	Braiding fiber with the Kumihimo disk is fun and easy to learn. Kumihimo, means "gathering of threads". It is a Japanese style of braiding that has been around for thousands of years. Silk, satin, colored beading wire, and other fibers can be used to create cords for purses, clothing, bracelets, necklaces and more. Kumihimo braiding is traditionally done on a spool called a Marudi, which can easily cost a few hundred dollars. These lightweight and inexpensive foam disks have allowed this exciting craft to be more accessible to a wider range of people resulting in an ever growing wealth of design ideas flowing from a vast community of creative jewelry designers and crafters! Use the Kumihimo disk to create round braids and the Kumihimo plate to create flat braids. Kit Includes instructions and four colors of Satin rattail cord (colors may vary).
