Description:	Crimp covers smoothly mask your unsightly crimp or knot. They compliment your design by adding a professional finish. Crimp covers easily clamp over your crimp or knot and look like an attractive metal or precious metal bead. Gold filled findings also known as gold overlay are a solid layer of gold bonded to a base metal. At least 1/20 of the total weight of the item must be pure gold to be called gold filled and the plating is 50 to 100,000 times thicker than regular gold plating. Thicker plating results in a more durable and longer lasting plate.
