Bugle and Tube Beads

We're thrilled to announce our monumental special purchase of over 200,000 kilos of Handmade Vintage Italian glass beads! We've bought up oodles of exquisite examples of fine, hand-crafted vintage Murano glass beads made by Societa Veneziana Conterie. Societa Veneziana Conterie was a consortium of 16 independent Venetian bead makers that joined together from 1898-1992. When the consortium shut its doors in 1992, our friends over at Prairie Edge Trading and Galleries rescued all of the consortium's remaining stock of glass beads from an uncertain future. Earlier this summer, we scooped up the the entire lot, to ensure that these little pieces of beaded history can once again be shared and appreciated by all! Most of our Vintage Venetian Seed, Crow, and Chevron Beads were manufactured between the late 1800's and 1920's, while our colorful and intricate Murano Mosaic beads were manufactured in the 1960's-70's.

Description:	Miyuki Delica beads are superior quality machine made Japanese seed beads. Japanese seed beads are known for their uniform size and cut consistency standards, which makes them excellent beads for bead weaving and looming. Delica seed beads are cylinder or tube shaped while Czech rocaille seed beads are round. Miyuki seed beads can be used interchangeably with Toho Seed beads. Size 11 Miyuki Delica beads measure about 1.6mm in diameter and are sold per gram. Expect to receive about 190-200 beads per gram, or 1710-1800 beads per 9 gram package.
