Aventurine

Aventurine is an often banded translucent to opaque variety of the quartz family, often with tiny sparkling mineral inclusions. While the most common form of aventurine is green, it can also be found in shades of blue, red, and white. It is commonly dyed to produce bold shades of red, blue or green, and also for color consistency. Aventurine's name stems from the Italian "By Chance" from the accidental discovery of "Aventurine Glass" more widely known as Goldstone. Description:	Center hole measures 18mm. Open up a whole new realm of design possibilities with these fantastically fashionable gemstone rings! The open center hole allows you to either display your stringing material such as Soft Flex's Trios line, or showcase a bead suspended within the center of the ring. There is little wonder why this striking black and white striped stone is described as "Zebra". This attractive form of Calcite is not a true jasper, it is most likely called a jasper due to its visual similarities to the commonly patterned stone. Please note that Calcite is a more delicate stone than true jaspers. Avoid over exposure to sunlight, sweat, oil, and chemicals such as bleach and chlorine.
