Imitation Cinnabar

Our imitation cinnabar is manufactured by stacking multiple layers of lacquer and then molding the resin into the desired shape. The bead is then carved into irresistibly intricate patterns in Asian motif. True cinnabar is highly toxic (mercury), and is no longer used for decorative purposes. These beads look awesome strung on elastic bead cord and worn as a refreshingly funky bracelet. For a more sophisticated look, string these cinnamon colored gems with black fire polished beads and sterling silver beads!
