Pietersite AKA: The Tempest Stone Was discovered in 1962 by Sid Pieters while prospecting a farm in Namimbia. Pietersite is a close relative to Tiger Eye. Much like its feline cousin, the stone displays a silky and hypnotic chatoyancy. Unlike tiger eye, the crystal structures of this stone have been folded, fractured and stressed upon one another by thousands of years of geologic activity. This geological stress results in the appearance of tumultuously undulating clouds of silvery blues, warm reds, and golden browns. This stone is said to possess a very forceful energy that can jolt one into personal change.
