Included in the cost: The class cost includes a kit that will supply all the materials you need. Your job will be to bring lots of enthusiasm and the strand of pearls you want to string!
Description: Class is held on December 12th 2009 1 PM-4PM
Cost of class covers all supplies other than the pearls! Shipwreck Beads is proud to be offering this fabulous class on how to string a pearl necklace just like the professionals. This class will teach you a fool-proof method for making tight knots between pearls and finishing the necklace with French wire. You may choose to make an elegant classical style necklace, or take a walk on the wild side with funky shapes and colors.
You will also learn:
- how pearls are cultured
- the difference between freshwater and saltwater pearls
- how to choose high-quality pearls
- how to clean and care for pearl jewelry
Background information: A pearl affectionado, Claudia has been stringing pearls for five years. She professionally strings pearls for local jewelers and, through classes offered exclusively at Shipwreck, is now sharing her secrets of how to achieve professional results. Claudia's motto is that every woman should own a strand (or a dozen strands!) of pearls.
Please Bring 1 Strand of 6-10 mm pearls in the shape and color of your choice!
You may also want a magnifying lens for the itty-bitty stuff.
