Cabochons are usually a highly polished, convex shaped, un-faceted gem with a flat back for mounting. On occasion, some cabochons may have flat faces or may have their top surface faceted. Cabochons can be utilized in a number of different ways. You can secure them with a seed bead stitched bezel, wrap them with wire, set them into PMC designs, or glue them onto flat surfaces such as bolo slides. Cabochons can be made from gemstones, glass, or even shell. Please note: Cabochons are not beads, and do not have holes!
