Our precious metal findings selection consists of 14 kt gold items, gold filled items and tons of sterling silver items! Gold filled findings also known as gold overlay are a solid layer of gold bonded to a base metal. At least 1/20 of the total weight of the item must be pure gold to be called gold filled and the plating is 50 to 100,000 times thicker than regular gold plating. Sterling silver is a minimum of 92.5% pure silver, with other minerals added to increase the strength and durability of a naturally soft metal.
