Crafted from Type 316L stainless steel, this specially tempered wire has a different feel than other half hard materials such as gold-filled or sterling silver wire, however it's a great alternative and is stronger. The stainless steel material is perfect for practice and teaching classes. Stainless steel is harder and will work harden faster than other half hard wires. Wire is measured in gauges. The smaller the gauge number, the thicker the wire. This 24 Gauge shaping wire measures about 0.51mm in diameter, and is ideal for dainty wire wrapped embellishments.
