Always 2 Letters. This is the two letter type code from our Type Code Chart.
1 thru 29 Round
30 thru 39 Oval shape
40 thru 49 Drop shape
50 thru 59 Cubes, Squares and Rectangles
60 thru 69 Cylinders and Tubes
70 thru 79 Discs, Rings and Rondells
80 thru 89 Diamonds or Bicones
90 thru 99 Irregular/Odd

Color: 3 or 4 Digits. All beads in our catalog have a color number assigned to them according to the following chart. The colors are the same for all beads that use the same color number. (ie: 278 is cobalt blue in seed beads as well as all pressed glass, bugles beads etc.) The color numbers are broken down using the chart below.

0= Coating (Picasso, ect..) 0=Grays and Black
This indicates how dark or light of a shade the color is. The higher the number the darker the shade.
1= Opaque 1=Whites and Silvers
2=Transparent 2=Yellows
3= Lustered 3=Oranges
4= Silver lined 4=Reds
5= Iris, Rainbow or AB (aurora borealis) 5=Browns, golds
6= Pearl 6=Aqua blues
7= Colorlined 7=Sapphire blues
8= Metallic 8=Greens
9= Silk or Satin 9=Pinks or purples
