This chain is made from solid 304 marine grade stainless steel. 304 Stainless steel is extremely durable and will not tarnish or change color.Our stainless steel is Premium Finish which means it is more shiny than stainless steel termed "Standard finish." As far as we know, "Premium finish" is the shiniest stainless steel available. "Premium finish" undergoes additional polishing processes which results in a brighter color. "Standard finish" has a greyish hue which makes the color somewhat dull.

Type 304 is the most versatile and widely used of the authentic stainless steels and is proven to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.
