Vintage Bugle Beads

(87 products)

These Vintage Venetian Bugle Beads were crafted in Murano between the late 1800s and mid-1900s, during the height of Venetian glassmaking. Drawn from long, molten glass canes and cut into uniform lengths by hand, each bugle bead carries the subtle character of early production methods—soft edges, slight tapering, and the unmistakable glow of historic Venetian glass.

Because individual batches were not dated, some beads in this collection are antique (100+ years old) while others fall within the vintage range. All share the same traditional Murano origins and the craftsmanship of the Società Veneziana Conterie, the historic consortium responsible for much of the world’s glass seed bead production.

Their elongated shape brings movement, sparkle, and texture to fringe, bead embroidery, loomwork, and restoration projects. Expect natural variations in length and form, as well as the occasional bit of original stringing thread—authentic details that reflect their journey through time.
