Gentle Valentine Heart Set

Right‑angle weave never looked sweeter. Make a heart component in 10/0 seed beads, then turn it into a necklace, bracelet, or earrings by stringing matching 6/0 beads on cord. We keep bead sizes in metric/aught; all lengths include metric + inches for easy reading.

Materials & Tools

• Seed Beads
  • 10/0 for the heart(s): Permalux Light Pink Matte (or Permalux Lavender alternative)
  • 6/0 for the necklace/bracelet cord section: 6SB391R Petal Pink Sfinx (or 6SB195R Lavender alternative)
• Cord: waxed cotton or similar, 0.8 mm diameter; cut 25 cm (10 in) per bracelet or necklace section (trim to fit)
• Line: clear silicon/nylon, 0.25 mm; cut 60 cm (24 in) per heart
• Findings: 5 mm rings (≈0.2 in); small ovals (≈3.4 × 4.7 mm); round adhesive end caps (ID 1 mm); lobster clasp + counter‑ring; fine chain 2 × 12 cm (2 × 4.7 in) for necklace; ear hooks (pair)
• Tools: thin beading needle; ruler; flat‑nose pliers; glue suitable for cord + metal

Make the Heart Component (RAW)

1. Row 1: On 60 cm (24 in) of 0.25 mm line, string 11× 10/0. Add a stop bead, then stitch into connected “squares” of 4× 10/0 to complete the first row.
2. Row 2: Exit the top 10/0. Add a loose arch of 3× 10/0 above every second square; then add singles between arches to form 4 full squares in the row.
3. Row 3–4: Repeat a 3× 10/0 arch, then add singles to make 2 full squares per row.
4. Outline & finish: Add single 10/0s around the outer edge and at the point. Weave around to tighten; add two half‑hitch knots in the path; weave off and trim.
5. Hang point: Open a 5 mm ring, slip through the center hollow at the top of the heart, and add two small ovals.

Bracelet

1. Cut 25 cm (10 in) of 0.8 mm cord. String 12× 6/0, the upper oval on the heart, and 12× 6/0.
2. Shorten the cord to about 15.5 cm (6.1 in) or to fit. Glue cord ends into 1 mm ID end caps and let dry.
3. Add a lobster at one end and a counter‑ring at the other. Finished length is about 18.5 cm (7.3 in) (adjust with cord length).

Necklace

1. Repeat the bracelet steps for the front section. Attach 2 × 12 cm (2 × 4.7 in) of fine chain to the end caps with ovals; add clasp + counter‑ring.

Earrings

1. Make 2 hearts through the hang point. Attach ear hooks to the top ring instead of a second oval.
