Ruby in Zoisite brings together two minerals in one stone — the deep green of zoisite shot through with ruby red and often flecks of black hornblende — giving each 4mm round bead a naturally varied, dramatic look that no dye or coating can replicate.
Expect a dark, moody palette where forest green and ruby red coexist with black inclusions, so no two beads read exactly the same.
At 4mm, these rounds are a natural fit for stacked bracelets where the stone variation builds visual depth across repeating strands, and they work equally well as accent beads in bead-woven pieces like peyote or right-angle weave where small pops of natural color carry a lot of weight.

Discovered in 1954, Ruby Zoisite or more accurately Ruby in Zoisite is a beautiful and colorful naturally occurring metamorphic rock found primarily in Tanzania. The black (hornblende) flecked deep green Zoisite is the perfect background to make the rosy hues of ruby truly pop! Zoisite is a relatively soft mineral, while Ruby is an extremely hard mineral. This variation of hardness means the stone can be rather difficult to cut and polish.
