Ruby in Zoisite brings together two minerals in one stone — the deep green of zoisite shot through with ruby red and often flecked with black hornblende — giving each 8mm round bead a genuinely one-of-a-kind pattern. If you want a gemstone bead with real visual tension, this one delivers.
Expect a moody interplay of forest green, ruby red, and dark speckles; no two beads read exactly the same, and the contrast between the minerals gives the stone a naturally bold, graphic quality.
String them as a single-strand statement necklace where the color variation does the work, or work them into a chunky wrap bracelet alternating with solid dark gemstones to let the green and red pop. They're also well-suited to bead embroidery focal clusters where the irregular patterning adds organic depth.

Discovered in 1954, Ruby Zoisite or more accurately Ruby in Zoisite is a beautiful and colorful naturally occurring metamorphic rock found primarily in Tanzania. The black (hornblende) flecked deep green Zoisite is the perfect background to make the rosy hues of ruby truly pop! Zoisite is a relatively soft mineral, while Ruby is an extremely hard mineral. This variation of hardness means the stone can be rather difficult to cut and polish.
