Genuine Venetian micro seed beads from old Società Veneziana Conterie warehouse stock, in Transparent Olive Green #1. This is a muted, yellow-leaning olive in transparent glass — the color of unripe grapes or pale peridot that has been grayed and softened. It sits in a fundamentally quieter tonal range than the vivid transparent greens and chartreuses of the SVC palette: earthy, organic, and restrained, with the transparent glass giving the color more depth and inner life than an opaque olive could carry.

The transparency varies noticeably across this lot — some beads are clear and glassy, transmitting light fully, while others carry a clouded, semi-frosted quality that softens their translucency. This mixed-texture character is not a defect: whether it reflects variation in the original glass formula, thermal history during production, or surface changes from long-term storage, the result is a lot with built-in textural range — some beads sparkle, others glow softly.
