Genuine Venetian 10/0 seed beads from old Società Veneziana Conterie warehouse stock, in Dandelion #6 with a frosted opaque finish. This is a bright, saturated sunshine yellow in solid opaque glass, carrying a completely matte, frosted surface — no gloss, no shine, just a soft, velvety texture that absorbs light rather than reflecting it. The combination is striking: the color has the full cheer and warmth of a dandelion yellow, while the frosted surface gives it a chalky, sun-baked character that a glossy opaque bead cannot match.

In massed beadwork the frosted surface reads as a smooth, even field of color with no individual sparkle points — a soft, dense yellow with an almost ceramic quality. This makes it particularly effective beside glossy or transparent beads, where the contrast in surface texture becomes a design element in its own right. The frosted surface can burnish slightly at high-contact points over long wear; handle as you would any matte-finished antique bead.
