Description
Liquid Gold and Silver beads are both beautiful and popular. They are super fine tube shaped beads similar in shape to bugle beads. They can be either straight or twisted. Liquid gold beads can be used as spacers, but look best when used as the foundation of your piece. They look incredible alone, strung in multiple strands in either a twisted design or waterfall necklace and display a shimmering ripple effect. If you decide to create a shimmering multi-strand liquid gold necklace, expect to use a lot of these tiny beads (the results are well worth it)!
Gold filled beads, also known as gold overlay, are a solid layer of gold bonded to a base metal. At least 1/20 of the total weight of the item must be pure gold to be called gold filled and the plating is 50 to 100,000 times thicker than regular gold plating. Thicker plating results in a more durable and longer lasting plate.
