Description
Gold filled bead and findings, also known as gold overlay, are a solid layer of gold bonded to a base metal. At least 1/20 of the total weight of the item must be pure gold to be called gold filled and the plating is 50 to 100,000 times thicker than regular gold plating. Thicker plating results in a more durable and longer lasting plate.
Surprisingly strong for such a little clasp! Magnetic clasps are great for those who have trouble fumbling with traditional clasps.
